Exercise and Fitness

Hey there! Ready to move and have fun?

Exercise helps your body grow strong, your brain stay sharp, and your mood feel happy. You don't need to be perfect — just try your best and enjoy it!

  • Play: Tag, hopscotch, or a game of catch, playing counts as exercise.
  • Move: Dance, skip, ride a bike, or swim to make your heart healthy.
  • Stretch: Reach for the sky, touch your toes, and wiggle to wake up your muscles.
  • Team up: Team sports like soccer or basketball are great for making friends and practicing teamwork.
  • Rest: After you play, drink water and take a break. Rest helps you get stronger.

Try a fun challenge: pick one activity and do it for 10 minutes today. Can you do it every day this week?

Hydration

Hey friend! Time to sip and sparkle!

Drinking water helps your body work its best. It keeps you cool, gives you energy to play, and helps your brain think clearly. Plain water is awesome — no fancy stuff needed.

  • Start small: Take a few sips when you wake up and another after you play.
  • Carry a bottle: Bring a water bottle to school or the park so you can drink whenever you're thirsty.
  • Flavour it: Add a slice of lemon, orange, or a few berries for a tasty twist without extra sugar.

  • Water during play: Take short water breaks when you run around or do sports, it helps you keep going.
  • Know the signs: If your mouth feels dry or you feel a bit dizzy or tired, drink some water right away.
  • Limit sugary drinks: Sodas and sweet juices are fine sometimes, but water is the best choice most of the time.

Try a fun challenge: mark your bottle and aim for 4 small refills today. Can you hit the goal before bedtime?

Remember: water helps you grow strong, keeps your skin happy, and makes running, thinking, and smiling easier. Keep sipping and keep shining!

Hygiene

Hi! Keeping clean is a superpower — it helps you stay healthy and feel great.

Good hygiene means simple habits you can do every day: washing your hands, brushing your teeth, and keeping your body and clothes tidy. These small things stop germs, keep your smile bright, and help you feel confident.

  • Wash your hands: Use soap and warm water for 20 seconds — sing the "Happy Birthday" song twice while you scrub (before meals, after the toilet, and after playing outside).
  • Brush your teeth: Brush for two minutes, twice a day — morning and bedtime — and don’t forget to floss sometimes.
  • Shower or bathe: Regular baths or showers keep skin and hair clean. Use a gentle soap and rinse well.

  • Keep nails tidy: Trim nails and clean under them so dirt and germs don’t hide there.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes: Use a tissue or your elbow to stop germs spreading — throw tissues away and wash your hands.
  • Fresh clothes: Put on clean socks and clothes each day — it helps you stay comfy and healthy.

Try a hygiene challenge: make a checklist for one day — morning brush, hand wash before lunch, and bedtime brush — and tick them off. Can you do it three days in a row?

Remember: being clean helps you stay well, makes friends smile, and gives you energy to play and learn. Little habits, big heroes!

Mental Wellbeing

Hey friend — your feelings matter and taking care of them is part of being healthy.

Mental wellbeing means noticing how you feel, calming your mind when it's busy, and doing things that make you feel safe and happy. Small habits can help you feel stronger and more cheerful every day.

  • Name your feelings: If you feel sad, mad, or excited, saying the feeling out loud helps you understand it better.
  • Take deep breaths: Breathe in slowly for four, hold for four, breathe out for four — it helps when your body feels wiggly or worried.
  • Move your body: A quick walk, a little dance, or stretching can help your brain feel brighter.

  • Talk to someone: Share your thoughts with a parent, teacher, or friend — telling someone how you feel can make things lighter.
  • Quiet time: Try reading, drawing, or listening to calm music when you need a break — it's okay to rest your mind.
  • Be kind to yourself: Everyone makes mistakes — say positive things to yourself like "I tried my best" or "I can learn from this."

Try a little challenge: spend 3 minutes today doing slow breaths or drawing something that makes you happy. Can you do it every day this week?

Remember: your mind needs care just like your body. Small steps—breaths, chats, rest—make you a big mental wellbeing hero.

Sleep and Rest

Night-night, superhero — rest helps your body and brain recharge!

Good sleep gives you energy to play, learn, and feel happy. Try to make bedtime calm and cozy so your body knows it’s time to slow down.

  • Keep a routine: Go to bed and wake up at about the same time every day — routines tell your body when to sleep.
  • Wind down: Do quiet activities before bed like reading, drawing, or calm breathing — save screens for earlier.
  • Cozy space: Make your bed comfy with a favourite blanket or soft pillow and keep the room cool and dark.

  • Limit sugar and big drinks: Try not to eat lots of sugary snacks or drink lots of liquids right before bed.
  • Short naps: A short nap can help if you’re really tired, but keep it brief so it doesn’t stop night sleep.
  • Move during the day: Playing and being active helps your body feel ready for sleep at night.

Try a bedtime challenge: pick one calm habit (like 5 minutes of deep breaths or reading) and do it each night for a week — notice how you feel in the morning!

Remember: rest helps you grow, think clearly, and feel happy — sleep well, little hero.
